Does anyone know why Regina called 11:11 by this name? I've always associated this time of day/night with making a wish...But I also know it has stong associations with spirituality...Any ideas? Just curious!

Okay, so I am replying to my own post...Sorry for being such a dork, I decided to look up 11:11 in the Brumstix search (of course after I started a conversation, which apparently you can't erase) and found that some people had talked about this a year ago...
http://reginaspektor.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/4541...1050701/r/7631087801
But more importantly, ironically and hilariously: I just thought I would point out that when you search 11:11 in the "Find" box, it comes up with 11 pages of responses...Weird or what?
Also, I reccomend checking out Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/11:11
Anyone else want to talk about the meaning of 11:11? Feel free! I'm interested to know your thoughts!

The title 11:11 always reminded me of Remembrance Day. The 11th Month, the 11th Day, the 11th minute of the 11th hour... You know, "a moment of silence"?

Anyway, I never thought the album title meant this, nor have I ever really cared what the album title means, but I still think of the date every time I see it.

Well if you multiply the 2 integers involved you would obtain a one to one...and if you divide them you obtain just one...so probably it's better to multiply than divide...?

yeah, that's what I've always thought too...Is that childhood lore? How do we know that? My parents don't remember teaching me that...Maybe it's a mandatory part of the Primary Public education system? Wink

I always hope its because Regina thinks 11:11 is a nice time, because that's how I think about times. Frowner Like 12:34 is a good time also, as is 22:22. I like numbers. Frowner

There's a clock by my front door and on the last three times I've looked at it, I've happened to look at it at exactly "11:11".

The first time, I thought - hey cool - Regina... The second and third times have freaked me out a little. I've stopped looking at that clock.

I have more barely relevant stories where that one came from, too!

Could it be a Torah reference?

I know lots of people use Bible References like Ezekiel 25:17, 'The path of the righteous man'), etc etc in Pulp Fiction.

Okay so i have always loved the number 11. it follows me every where. I see the time 11:11 every single day and here are some weird things about me that all have to do with the number
My birthday is 11-11-1983 = 8 + 3+ 11
My parents we married 12-11
My sister, niece uncle and dog born 5- 11
My brother was born 6-29= 2 +9 = 11
our first house address was 524= 5+2+4= 11
second house 5600= 5 + 6= 11
Now my own house 1420 22nd 1+4+2+2+2= 11
there are excactly 11 pepople in my imediate family.

I have been intrigued by the number 11 and it wasn't till now that I finally reaserched it online. i have found many interesting things. But i am now convinced that it is a wake up call. People that see this number are being called out by a higher being to wake up and remember who they are. To wake up and start helping other people.
The condidtion of our world depends on us. It is now time to make a consious effort to help eachother out, to be ONE. I know that i have been chosen to help people, somehow but i don't know how to do it exactly. I want to not feel empty anymore. I want to HELP. and i know that this has been my wake up call.

LOL

For some reason, I always thought of 11:11 as referring to the arrival or departure time on a bus or train timetable. But that doesn't seem to fit the songs particularly.

11:11 is a very powerful number. there is something called the 11:11 phenominon. i was at a psycic festival with my family one year (my aunt is into holistic healing dont even ask why i was dragged there) anyways there was a whole hour spent talking about the cosmic power of 11:11 and it seemed believeable. it is a highly regarded number in numerology.

there isnt much on Wikipedia..but heres the link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/11:11_%28numerology%29
