Hmmm, she's talented enough, but her music just doesn't *cook* if you know what I mean. Of course maybe not all music has to cook, maybe it's enough to simmer.

I know what you mean. I listened to her CD a while back and it was soooooo. boring. All of the songs blended together and sounded the same. It was hard to tell where one song ended and the next one started. But her voice was okay.

Amazing how we take for granted Reg's ability to sound unique every song.

I actually like Alison Sudol. I think Rangers is a really good song.

It just irks me a bit that Ms. Sudol is getting all this attention right now for not being terribly original and our Reg can't break through because she's too "quirky".

I didn't know she was getting extra attention.
But the media is weird about who it chooses to promote. I agree that regina is more talented but I still like to listen to A Fine Frenzy.

Yeah because Alison Sudol is the one in the limelight currently and she's pretty! Her piano skills are decent for someone self-taught, but her compositions are as good as can be expected for an early 20-something. But our Reg's "11:11" ws fantastic work for a 21 yo!

Anyways Alison Sudol aka "A Fine Frenzy" has released her new single "Blow Away", can be purchased on iTunes. I have to say the song is a winner!

I'm just amazed to read my own messages from 18 months ago not respecting her too much. Sometimes it takes me a while to come around to a new artist.

I love this artist so much! I just think her next album art picture is not a good choice, but I haven't heard the album, it's just not a good picture. This album is supposed to be louder and more fun! I'm really excited!

Interesting that on "Blow Away" Alison clearly uses a glottal stop. I wonder where she got that idea? Big Grin

Regina isn't the first vocalist to ever use the glottal stop. She doesn't own it.

They've forgotten, forgotten how to sing

True, Jewel used it back in the 90s.
