I am not comparing Norah Jones and the great Regina (I am so looking forward to the Late, Late Show tonight and World Cafe this afternoon), but in my opinion the record companies only decided that Regina was commercially viable after Norah Jones opened the door (or their eyes and ears) to a new kind of female vocalist---a bit of a throwback to an earlier era, but a sound that seemed, ten years ago, to be long gone.
I love Norah, I'm buying the new CD on Amazon to get a bonus song and iTunes to get loads of Live tracks! My favorite song I believe is Sunrise or Don't Know Why!

Feels like home was the cd that got me. Come away with me is too "jazzy" for me but I love the songs when performed live. Like the title song, on guitar, it's perfect! I think she too likes the live rendition better because the exact same riff is used in "I Wouldn't Need You".
I really like the new CD. It's her popiest cd yet and I mean that in a good way.

Man of the Hour, which closes this new CD, is as Regina-like as it can be. (It bears no resemblance though, other than the title, to anyone whith a thousand faces).
It is hard to avoid politics, btw, in times such as these, as Mrs. E. Roosevelt would attest.
