OK, so I am at your mercy here, people. I need advice. I want to try to meet Regina (just a quick hello, a photo would be amazing) before or after the San Diego show. I could have just sauntered up to her at the Hotel Cafe in 2005 but I'm shy and didn't. Then I always had to leave right away after the other LA shows (or couldn't get there early). Plus I'm just not the brave/outgoing type. So please someone give me some tips, because I know plenty of you have succeeded at this!

Is it best to try to meet her before or after the show? Where? Does she come out specifically to "greet" people? Have you guys had to wait a long time after the show for her?

I am going to the SD show with 3 other people, and we will have to drive back to orange county that night, but I'm gonna have to make them wait!

just wait and wait, if you see a group of people staying around after the main floor starts clearing out, go over there and waaait

So she'd still meet anyone who waits, or was that just when she was starting out? Or is it just a couple people for a more private meet & greet?

she'll most likely stay around and meet anyone that waits around the stage, i even suggest that when the band is cleaning up, ask them nicely to go get her

my friend angie saw her in ma before and says she usually comes out after the show, where her bus is but she could come out after the show in different locations depending on the venue i suppose so yeah, i will be at my first show in may and i will for sure be waiting after the show for her!

a-ha. so the trick is simply to wait by the stage and try to gravitate toward any other apparently like-minded people. hooray! i am nervous but determined. i just hope my companions don't mind waiting. i'm gonna have to prepare them in advance.

yeah i am making my boyfriend wait so i can meet her because i am determined to get a pic with her.

the chicago show can't come soon enough.

the last time i saw her i waited about 2 hours to meet her but it was totally worth it. people that work at the wenue will try to tell you that she already left but u should never believe them.

In this case there was no waiting at all. Right after the show Regina appeared at the door to the back stage area where People had lined up. She chatted and gave out autographs and smiles. Some people were photographed with her.
This was a very small venue though, in a club with room for not more than 300 people.

i may go to the TN show so i might try to meet her there. that is my dream to meet her!

I am totally fine with waiting 2 hours, but...shoot, I'm going with people who aren't at my level of fandom and it will probably be rude for me to expect that. :-( Maybe I will have to suggest separate cars. I am bummed.

What if I got there early and caught her when she arrived at the venue? That ever work for anyone?

I remember a post or two where people have caught up with her before. But that was usually by accident and it's so much more unpredictable. Who knows what time she'll arrive? You'd definetly have a better shot after.

I suppose I will need to either warn my companions or have them drive separately. i feel like i might possibly come off as a bitch to my friends. but this is how much it means to me that i give myself the chance to meet regina. And i am no kid..i'm 26 years old. I'm just sufficiently obsessed to not let another tour go by without meeting the girl that occupies my heart and mind with her music.
