And our seats were on the right side, near the isle, orchestra right, G4, about 20 rows from the front. Near some really noisy cameras.

Carnegie Hall is truly the best place to see anyone. I really should say hear someone. You'd be hard pressed to find a Hall with truer sound. I've heard orchestras there. I've seen Blood Sweat and Tears back in the day. I've seen Etta James and Susan Tedeschi. Pick a genre, any genre. You won't find a better place sonically. I'd kill to see reg there with an orchestra backing her. Can you imagine?

I was right side orchestra too at Purchase. But I lucked out big time as I was in the front row. I was the guy who gave reg the red carnations when she came back for the encore.

I'm glad your trip went well.

Boy, I sure wish I live closer. I'd haunt Carnegie as much as possible. The sound was majestic and it really sent me away!

I saw you with the flowers. I hope it made her happy. From that old video interview that's making the rounds, it seems she feels ambivalent about performing. I sort of know how she feels as I was a TV weatherman for 25 years. I can still feel the butterflies, but once I was on, well, mostly it was great. Unless I fucked up. That was hell.

Was that the only time you ever met Regina?

No, I've been lucky. I met her outside Warsaw in Brooklyn, Town Hall and Irving Plaza in NYC. She's in her element in those situations. Talk about butterflies. Me, I go dumb. Too bad I wasn't a weatherman!
