We need to get you set up with some FTP access so you don't have to use megaupload.

Send me an e-mail (REDACTED as email has been sent) or something so I can mail you back some credentials.

Hey you're the one with the madcrazy restoring skills... Its your call. Though I do think it would be sort of cool to have them done in chronological order.

I probably will do them in order but some of the old recordings don't need to be fixed.

before you do too much, are you working with just the mp3 files? srg or whomever may have flacs or wavs or whatever original files they came from.

i don't mean to sound presumptuous, but...

...perhaps, instead of cleaning up songs on a show by show basis, you would create a new, cleaned up version of the complete spektography.

i know some sensationally spectacular human being created a complete spektography for everyone a long time ago, but you could make one with the songs that have been recorded live since then and exchange versions of songs on the old one for different versions that have better fidelity (or just clean up some of the older ones).

i'm sure there are many brumstixers (including me) who would help you out by getting you the tracks you don't have, or offering an opinion on which live performances to use. i have a feeling this would be even more appreciated than cleaning up a bunch of individual concerts.

that being said, i know this would be an ENORMOUS undertaking. it's just a suggestion. Smiler

hm. If you guys want this to happen I really think you should talk to gavin who owns the spektography channel. I suppose you mean the youtube one... (it wasn't that long ago actually. last year) If you want to clean up recordings and improve the spektography I suggest you send him the cleaned-up versions so he can exchange the ones that are up for now.

and P.S. he has added the new songs as well.

i don't really know anything about the whole youtube thing. i just remember someone put most of Regina's songs together (live versions) and posted it in a zip file for others to have. i don't know if it is the same thing you are talking about or not.

i was just making a suggestion. if this gavin person is the one who originally created the spektography, then they would likely be a good person to talk to. but, i have no clue whether this is something others would be all that interested in, or that Kb93 would be interested in doing. it just sounds like a good idea to me. ahaa =) you mean that giant zip-file...that also contains the albums? That sounds like a good idea to me then!! Thought you were talking about the youtube channel named spektography that gavin is the owner of. A new zip file would be good Smiler

I didn't know where to post this, but I'll try it here.
I really much would like this recording of Consequence of Sounds cleaned up. (it's right after fidelity)

It's the same performance as this one . And it's my favorite live performance of it. The second one, with quite good quality cuts off, sadly...

I've got it on mp3, but I'm guessing you know how to rip it.

thanks Smiler
