ANTI-FAR?!!! Eeker

How very dare anyone come on here griping about this wonderful album. Confused

I just listened to that WFUV radio interview with Regina about "FAR" and due reverence was shown all the way through, which is just how it should be! Wink

Well if they do then they're certainly not going to want to say it after all the "How could someone not love far?!?" Lol.

So to stixers - are you upset at all about flat Reg's vocal is in the HOTY bridge? I mean in the 9-28-06 version she really belts it out and not here. Just wondering - because it's been bothering me.

Of course her vocal on Machine makes it all up.

ugh oh. trying to play the devil's advocate? Roll Eyes

I give in. well yea I agree it should have sounded like this. She held back on this song a lot and in MOATF. But they are both still so beautiful on the album

Oh god, that's just perfect! Too bad she didn't seek to replicate that or the 2006 one. Frowner

In some ways I thought it was kind of appropriate that she sped up the bridge...though I'm not really sure how to explain how. The only thing that bothered me was the part when she sings "a-uh song just in your honor" (when she repeats the whole "outside the cars are beeping...")...she didn't sing the "a-uh" (if that makes sense) with as much power as she usually does. Confused
But that's probably just me getting all OCD.

Yup, not enough POWER in it. Maybe we can petition Reg to go back in the studio and redo the vocal on that part.

I think that's going a little too far...if I don't overanalyze little parts of the song, it just sounds perfect overall.

I guess I'm just being OCD about it. Also I'm holding Reg to "Beatles standard of perfection" which is unrealistic.
