i made a shirt that reads "MY REGINA SPEKTOR SHIRT," and people constantly ask me who Regina Spektor is. i usually explain and then that's that.
the other day, my cousin's girlfriend asked me who Regina Spektor was, and after my explanation, she inquired, "so, like, is she like Phil Spector's daughter or something?" the logic that had to go into thinking Regina is Phil's daughter is so dreadfully uninformed about both of those people that i began laughing very hard and could not even answer her question for a few minutes until i finally caught my breath. i didn't really mean to, but i think i really made her feel like a fool...then again, she's probably used to that. does anyone else have a funny story about people thinking Regina Spektor is someone she's not? ________________________________________________ Regina Spektor, Amanda Palmer, Lon Chaney Jr., Holden Caulfield, Woody Allen, Willie Mays, Myrna Loy, The Marx Brothers = COOL PEOPLE |

when i prmote regina i ALWAYS get asked.. "is she related to phil spector?" and after laughter i get a very serious look and just say.. "um ...no" so haha. it is very common i bet ive been asked at least twenty times.
