there are 1000s of people who swear by it, but I'm way too scared to risk getting e. coli, listeria or other nasty pathogens!

!!! Milk that hasn't been pasteurized, centrifuged, skimmed or whatever more is done to it.

Tastewise I'd use the comparison of chicken meat vs. game like duck or rabbit. Basically you can taste the fact that it has come out of a cow. For someone who is not used to it - totally disgusting. Haha, like my mum says: When I was a kid I'd drink freshly drawn milk no questions asked. Now I want to vomit from the only thought of doing so.

If you don't know what's in there or where it comes from you don't have a problem with it. But once you know about all the nasty things inside you wouldn't drink it.

People are no longer used to raw food and that is not good (hint: allergies). But don't get me wrong, I wouldn't drink raw milk, I wash my hands in an almost OCD manner and game is getting more and more difficult for me to eat...

Eww! That sounds gross. I can barely drink 2% without barfing, I'll stick with skim.

Raw goat's milk is really good. It's very creamy tasting, and has a really high fat content. :/

Goat dairy in general is delicious. It's practically a delicacy, raw or not.

Raw Milk? Sounds good. The only issue is that with huge ass farms now, you don't know what's safe or not. But, if the raw milk is being distributed by actual independent companies that specialize in it, ergo they have to guarantee that it's safe, then I'm totally down for it.

Now where they hell do I find it??

I agree, I would never drink raw milk from a large scale farm operation. I would only buy it from a local producer. That way I'm helping the local economy and I know exactly where the product is coming from.

Ooh that! Then I knew what it was... Roll Eyes silly hehe. I have never tasted it, but I don't think Pasteur would want us to go drinking raw milk after everything he discovered... Besides, I would never digest it ha

I love raw goat's milk. I grew up drinking it almost every morning. Now it's like some gourmet thing popularized by trend whores. Smiler

Well, I mean, they had absolutely no means by which they could test raw cow milk for harmful bacteria when Pasteur discovered his method. Besides, the billions of people that drank raw milk from their own livestock before Pasteurization was federally mandated were just fine, haha.
