Hypothetically if Reg wrote a protest song calling for the release of Mumia Abu Jamal, would that cause you to never buy her music again? I'm just trying to figure it out. I just found out Massive Attack did such a song and I will never buy their music again.

Just because you disagree with an artist's beliefs/values/etc; doesn't mean that you still can't appreciate their art. It's still of the same quality, the same caliper. If you want to boycott the artist, then I guess that would be the way to do it, but I just don't see the point in saying they shouldn't make money because they think certain things differently than you or I.

If regina were to become a republican, I would be disappointed that one of the public figures I so deeply respect could suddenly do a complete 180 in their beliefs, but it wouldn't make her music any less beautiful.
