I recently got back into the raw food diet, I'm not 100% though and I've been slipping a little lately, but...it's awesome...try this:

(First: We all know COOKED tomatoes are healthier than raw tomatoes, cooking them releases that awesome ingredient lycopene(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lycopene), so that is why part of the soup, the tomatoes, are cooked)

Chop 2-3 Roma tomatoes into big chunks and put them into a saucepan with 2 tablespoons of cold pressed extra virgin olive oil. Add chopped garlic, if you like, a few pinches of sea salt, a pinch of sugar (to take the bitterness away from the tomatoes) then add some black pepper and basil. Let them cook like that for about a minute or two before adding about 1/4 to a half a cup of water. Cover, let simmer.

Then in a blender, combine:
Chopped green onions (or shallots)
Chopped carrots
Chopped celery
Chopped cucumber

When the tomatoes have become soft (don't cook for too long! you still want it to be bright red/orange) smash the tomatoes to make it more of a softly chunky base...

Then pour the hot tomato soup base into the blender with the raw vegetables and alternate between the chop setting and the blend setting.

Blend until smooth, serve as is! It will not be hot, it will be a bit tepid, but it's a mostly raw food soup!

Serves 2 people
Enjoy!

Wouldn't a freshly chopped salad be called a raw food?

Raw food is considered raw food if it isn't cooked over 118 degrees F.

So, to answer your question, yes! Razzer
