...but I'm a very stupid person, so I'll just have to ask! Big Grin What is it with Regina and soup? am I missing something? Plus, will I get banned if I say I hate soup?

Hey insideAbubble,

I don't think you will exactly get banned for your lack of loving soup. Just try not to mention it too much in this forum. As for Regina's love of soup its just a preference. I personally have a strange affinity for burritos. Dare I say there will one day be a "Shawn forum" with a burrito section?

Not a big fan of soup either. We should start a Regina-Fans-Who-Don't-Like-Soup support group Big Grin

Regina also has a song called "Soup" -- maybe this has something to do with it?

You may be thinking of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. For me soup maybe represents something you don't necessarily appreciate until your older. It's not exactly something that is as flashy as other foods, but is just as good when you take the time to savor.
Kinda like classical music to some degree with kids today. ( When not listening to Regina, if you ever stop, check out your local NPR station for some classical music)

Is it just me or did I just turn this thread about soup into a public service annoucement?

I agree about the soup thing. I'm thirteen and I appreciate all kinds of music. I believe you have to open-minded. I like tea though. Smiler

Out of thirty people where I work I'm the only one who drinks hot tea. We're a dying breed of folk. Smiler

Sad. What is your favorite kind of tea, Shawn? Let's turn this into a tea thing rather than a soup thing. Wink

I've been on an Earl Grey kick lately. Before that the herbal refresh at Starbucks to clear up a cold I couln't get rid of. For the most part I don't like anything with sugar or fruit flavors added. Maybe a little honey, but other than that I like it o'natural.

P.S. What's your favourite?

Hm. My dad makes the best apple/cinammon/ginger tea. I like chammomile. (did I spell that right?). Lemon and peppermint are strictly good for when I'm sick, definitely. I like green tea too even though it has a bitter after taste. This is funny. Here we are talking about tea in a soup discussion.

It's got to be Earl Grey - every time. BUT: with, or without, milk? Dilemmas, dilemmas!

Also: Yorkshire tea. Yum! Comfiness in a cup!

no no, it's all about the chai tea. And not these chai lattes you get at coffee shops. I'm talkin' about the real stuff. My Indian friend got me into it a couple months ago. If you know anyone from India, get them to make it for you, or atleast teach you how. It's awesome.

I have an Indian friend. I'll ask her about this chai tea.

I'm a green tea kind of guy myself.

Sometimes i'll add a combination of mint, sage, and honey. It takes a bit of getting used to but i'm hooked on it, now.

As for chai, i couldn't really get into it until i started drinking it cold with milk.
